Membership Commitment

As part of our mission is to raise awareness and reduce the environmental impact of recruitment, members must:

1. Become a signatory, publically declaring their organisation's commitment to sustainable HR and recruitment best practices as part of their corporate sustainability agenda.

2. Calculate and share their CO2 and assessment score with the SRAI using the SRAI's Recruitment CO2 calculator and framework assessment tool.

3. Commit to reviewing their processes, implementing initiatives to reduce waste and high emissions in recruitment, and record annual improvements in their assessment and CO2 score with the SRAI every 12 months.

Our goal is to help our members to:

  • Measure, understand and manage their recruitment carbon footprint to help reduce your organisation's wider footprint.
  • Sustainably attract new and retain existing diverse talent pool who increasingly want to work for companies causing no harm.
  • Introduce and maintain a culture of sustainability in your business through climate action awareness, education programmes, and putting words into action across every department.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements on emissions measurement, data capture and reporting such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and more.
  • Avoid getting locked out of awards, tenders, and supply chains where stakeholders increasingly require sustainability credentials and an emissions reduction action plan.
  • Gain a competitive advantage and an enhanced brand image as talent, customers and investors choose to engage with climate-friendly brands.
  • Achieve energy, and operational efficiencies along with performance improvements at a departmental level.
  • Build a greater resilience to the negative effects of climate change in your HR and People operations through adaptation measures.
