The problem
Our recruitment processes have unintentionally contributed to climate change, for decades.
Waste generated by merchandise, non-reusable stands at events, printed documents, interview commutes, and more, have significantly contributed to carbon emissions. Not to mention social inequalities, wellness, and inclusion.
The Sustainable Recruitment Alliance Ireland (SRAI) is a network of HR and Talent Acquisition professionals committed to driving corporate sustainability. By incorporating practical environmental and social best practices at every stage of the recruitment process, they are fostering a culture of sustainability.
Estimated emissions from recruitment in Ireland
36,800 metric tonnes CO2 per annum
That's the equivalent to nearly 100,000 barrels of oil consumed annualy.
24,000+ mtCO2e

5,000 mtCO2e
