Supporting HR leaders taking climate action
The SRAI is a community of HR and recruitment professionals who are passionate sustainability advocates within their organisations.
About us
The Sustainable Recruitment Alliance Ireland (SRAI) is a recognised sustainability initiative that aims to drive ambitious corporate sustainability, one hire at a time.
We're a network of HR, People and Recruitment leaders committed to driving corporate sustainability by incorporating practical environmental and social best practices at every stage of the recruitment process.
By embedding sustainability into our core operations, we not only demonstrate environmental responsibility, but also create a workplace culture that inspires and engages new and existing employees.
79% of skilled workers consider an organisation's commitment to reducing its environmental impact in their employment decisions.

Our purpose
As the corporate sustainability agenda moves from the board level to the departmental level, HR plays a pivotal role in managing that transition and executing the strategy.
To help you with this, the SRAI is on an ambitious mission to:
Build greater awareness of the environmental and social impact recruitment has on an organisation's sustainability strategy.
Identify the actions we, as HR and Recruitment professionals, can take to play our part in fostering a culture of sustainability and leading the journey to net-zero.
Support and celebrate our members by providing resources to guide HR leaders, and a platform to encourage knowledge sharing and innovation with your peers across all industries. Because nobody has all the answers.
Our Vision
Our vision is simple: For every organisation in Ireland to continually implement sustainable recruitment best practices as part of HR's role in driving ambitious corporate climate action.
The commitment
Becoming a member of the Alliance is open to organisations of all sizes and industries.
As part of our mission is to raise awareness and reduce the environmental impact of recruitment, members must:

2. Calculate and share their CO2 and assessment score with the SRAI using the SRAI's Recruitment CO2 calculator and framework assessment tool.
3. Commit to reviewing their processes, implementing initiatives to reduce waste and high emissions in recruitment, and record annual improvements in their assessment and CO2 score with the SRAI every 12 months.
